Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a ICU Neuro for a permanent assignment in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Responsibilities for a ICU Neuro:
• Coordinate clinical care of patients in the Neuroscience ICU (NSICU) setting
• Integrate all health care providers to ensure high quality patient and family outcomes
• Establish a consistent and accountable relationship with patients and their families
• Initiate and develop individualized plans of care for patients
• Provide patient and family education throughout the care continuum
• Manage utilization of resources and services appropriately
• Facilitate discharge planning to ensure safe and effective transitions of care
• Provide care for adult, geriatric, and pediatric patients with neurological conditions including traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, ischemic stroke, intracerebral and subarachnoid hemorrhage, CNS tumors, status epilepticus, and neuromuscular illnesses
• Care for post-operative patients following neurosurgical or neurointerventional procedures
• Support overflow medical, surgical, and cardiac ICU patients as needed
• Maintain current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Adhere to facility policies and procedures for patient care delivery
• Work in a fast-paced, highly stressful environment with exposure to body fluids, blood products, and communicable diseases
• Manage confused, disoriented, and combative patients while maintaining safety protocols
