Job Title: ICU
Location: Tuba City, Arizona
Schedule: 7:00AM – 3:00PM x 5
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $62 – $67/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a ICU for a temporary assignment in Tuba City, Arizona. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a ICU:
• Provide nursing care to critically ill patients within the Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
• Float to ED, Med/Surg, or Peds departments in case of low census
• Perform a variety of responsible nursing care procedures requiring professional knowledge and consideration of specific patient conditions and treatments
• Work independently in completing assignments in accordance with doctors’ orders, standards of care, nursing policies and procedures manuals, and hospital policies
• Provide inpatient care and support in the 5-bed ICU to individuals of all ages and their families
• Perform after-hours recovery of post-op general surgery, pediatric, and OB patients as needed
• Maintain a current valid unrestricted Professional Nursing License (RN)
• Maintain current valid BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Maintain current valid ACLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Complete PALS certification from the American Heart Association within six (6) months of hire
• Complete Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) certification within six (6) months of hire
• Complete National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification within six (6) months of hire
• Participate in orientation sessions held every two weeks
• Submit housing application at least two weeks prior to start date
