Job Title: Cardiologist
Location: Lewisburg, Pennsylvania
Schedule: 8:00AM – 5:00PM x 5
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension.
Pay Rate: $308 – $332/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Cardiologist for a temporary assignment in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. These positions are 13-week locum tenens contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Cardiologist:
• Work in a General Cardiology setting covering clinic, procedures, and call shifts
• Maintain a schedule of 7:30am – 4pm Monday through Friday with a 30-minute lunch break
• Provide occasional weekday call coverage
• Provide 24-hour call coverage on weekends (1:4/5 weekend call rotation)
• Perform 1-2 nights of call per week as needed
• See approximately 17-18 adult patients per day in a clinic setting
• Work in both clinic and hospital/lab environments, with lab coverage 3 days per week
• Collaborate with APP support staff and Interventional team as needed
• Perform and interpret nuclear reads and stress tests
• Perform and interpret echocardiograms (TEEs) and echo monitoring
• Perform cardioversions
• Perform CT reads (preferred skill)
• Utilize EPIC EMR system for documentation and charting
• Maintain Board Certification (BC) or Board Eligibility (BE) in Cardiology
• Maintain nuclear board certification and echo board certification
• Maintain active PA license or IMLC (LOQ accepted)
• Maintain active DEA registration
• Round on weekends as part of call responsibilities
• Adhere to all credentialing, compliance, and privileging requirements prior to and during assignment
