Job Title: Cardiac Tele
Location: Larkspur, California
Schedule: 8:00AM – 5:00PM x 5
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $59 – $63/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Cardiac Tele for a temporary assignment in Larkspur, California. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Cardiac Tele:
• Provide pre and post-op education for Cardiology and EP procedures
• Educate patients about their cardiovascular condition and explain treatment options as directed by the cardiologist or electrophysiologist
• Teach patients preventive measures for worsening cardiovascular conditions, the importance of self-monitoring, and provide appropriate resources
• Triage patients’ physical symptoms and arrhythmias appropriately and consult with cardiologists or electrophysiologists per protocol
• Cover RN Testing Center and Cardiac PET CT Imaging procedures when needed
• Participate in Transition of Care Management to ensure discharge medications and instructions are understood by patient and/or family members
• Update medication and problem lists in the Electronic Health Record and ensure follow-up with cardiologists
• Review daily lab/test results, physician tasks, and clinical worklist(s) as assigned
• Assist the Nurse Supervisor and/or Director on matters relating to nursing practices and participate in the development of policies and protocols for patient care
• Initiate and maintain personal professional development as required for continuing education
• Maintain patient confidentiality per HIPAA
• Maintain current California Registered Nurse license, BLS, and ACLS certifications
• Perform other duties as assigned
